In 2016, Blizzard Entertainment and Dark Horse connected for the very first World of Warcraft Chronicle book, which has a second volume following in 2017. At the end of this month, the group will continue the storyline with World of Cheap Warmane Gold.
The Chronicle series details and retells a brief history of the Warcraft games. The first started with a history of the universe, telling the tale with the Titans, the Old Gods, along with the rise from the fallen Titan Sargeras. Chronicle 2 followed the 1st orc and human wars — the stories on the original Warcraft games. Chronicle 3 will ultimately bring the tale into the World of Warcraft era, telling the tale with the war against Arthas, the Lich King, as well as the Cataclysm.
Dark Horse was kind enough to deliver Polygon some preview pages of Chronicle III, and you'll check them out below.
Like the opposite volumes of Chronicle, 3 features fabulous art from Peter Lee, Stanton Feng, Joseph Lacroix as well as others, depicting scenes not witnessed before in or away from game and maps that detail conflicts that players experienced on the ground level. It was produced by David Nestelle and credits Blizzard Entertainment’s Chris Metzen, Matt Burns, and Robert Brooks as the authors. All of this gorgeous art and lore fills the book’s 184 pages, and Warcraft fans can pick up their particular copy of World of Warcraft Chronicle Volume 3 for Oultand Gold on Mar. 27.
