What ways have you found work best to advertise your salon to brides?

I have contacted local venues (i.e. b&b, vineyards, etc.) and through a relationship with them have become one of the main stylists/ salons on their vendor list. Brides often choose their venue long before they think about hair and make-up, so having your name on the Vendor list, and your cards in the Bridal Suite, chances are they will contact you! This is great for Wedding business, and even long time clients from workers/ owners of these venues!!
Starting off in a new salon and want to develop a bridal dept ,any ideas to present to other co workers and to present an agenda to the meeting to get all involved? and to get started!!
I don't have a salon, but as a sister to a florist, there are a ton of ways to get your advertisement up and out into the world. Try complimentary chocolates with your salon info and bridal info, the ladies MIGHT share with their friends lol. I love the idea of putting your salon name on everything, pens, bags, stickers, pins (for the cool hipsters and their shoulder strap bags lol). I would suggest getting out to expos in your area, rent a table and have some ladies doing updos, and have plenty of physical stuff to look at. Brides want to imagine their perfect wedding, and with a whole table of luscious ideas and accessories and gorgeously framed pictures, they can't resist making a trial appt. :) hope this helps!
Advertising on www.theknot.com has been amazing for us. We have quadrupled our bridal business and it's not expensive. We've also done well by introducing ourselves to the local Planners and Reception Venues. You want to be on their vendor list.
