Mission and Vision Statements"

Beauty is what it's all about, Inside and Out"

My Vision is for my Experience, Knowledge and Expertese
to guide me and promote all the services that I offer to each and every client that sits in my chair.

The following is a biography and listing of my accomplishments throughout my cosmetology career for the past twenty years. I have always been interested in a hair styling career where I could develop my ideas and dreams and grow as an artist, and not just someone working a job. I’ve always lived by the saying, “If you truly love what you do, that you’ll never work a day in your life”. Well, being a hair stylist has fulfilled the dream for me. I finally decided to join the Asheboro Beauty School in 1989 and never looked back.
I was at the top of my class during my training where I excelled in all areas of cosmetology. I graduated the Asheboro Beauty School in 1990, and have maintained my license ever since.
I was so impressed with the business that I felt I had more to offer than just being a stylist. I decided to apply to the State Board of Cosmetology for my teacher’s and instructor’s license. I was successful in this endeavor in 1997. I have always enjoyed teaching and inspiring new stylists.
I started my career at the Regis Hair Salon in the beginning, and then moved to Jeanie’s Hair Company in 1993 through 2008. While at Jeanie’s Hair Company I had my own business and was known as Scottie’s Salon. I also was introduced to the Antoniou Hair Care product line. I was the creative director for Antoniou, and performed in many shows and in venues such as Charlotte, Greensboro and Mobile, Alabama. During my tenure at Jeanie’s Hair Company I created many original haircut designs, and developed and conducted numerous hands on classes throughout the local community and throughout the east coast.
In 1995 I attended training seminars in Atlanta, Georgia to be a platform artist. I was trained under the tutelage and guidance of Dixie Pelfrey. Ms. Pelfrey was associated with the Macon, Georgia Beauty Supply Company and was the educational manager.
In 1998 throughout 2001, I joined the NC of NCA, (North Carolina chapter of the National Cosmetology Association). While I was with the NC of NCA I served as an active board member for two years. I also joined the NCCEC, (North Carolina Continuing Education Committee) under the NC of NCA.

In 2010, I rejoined the CEC of NC CAN, (Continuing Education Committee of North Carolina Cosmetologist Aesthetics Nails Association. I am currently on the design team for NC CAN since joining them. Currently I am a Level 1 “L’ANZA” educator, to which I specialize in the “L’ANZA” Hair Care Product line. I have been attending and participating as A L’ANZA educator in numerous shows and classes throughout the East Coast.
