I have a small salon in Tulsa, 33 years in business. I just finished your book and enjoyed it very much. I could really relate to the structure of the Sassoon training vs the breaking it all up in the Toni and Guy method. I trained at Sassoons in SF in 77 and attended Toni and Guy shows during that same time. I find myself still going through haircuts with that Sassoon sensibility and then fucking it up haha!! Keep up the inspiring work and attitude! Thank you, Kathy Lookout

 Tabbatha,

My names is Charles Coffey we meet in Chicago and you show. I really enjoy meeting you. What we spoke about is how people try to be funny with our last like the coffee we drink.

I miss see you on Tabatha salon take over,it was great . It always made me stop and think if I was be like the people you were trying to help. It really allowed me to  look at my salon. I just open in 2009  and I thank you for showing me things before I made the same mistakes. If you came in my salon I am sure you could see things I do not realize.

So I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your honest guidance in helping our industry. I know when they were going through it was not easy to be look at in a finite ways. My train was through Rodger Thompson concept of cutting in 1974 . it was great, we all need a little disciple in our technical work. I feel today things are a little more relaxed. But, I also enjoy that aspect too. Thank you again for listening to me.

  Sincerly,

Charles Coffey

Just as the solar eclipse made its way over Austin, the Kenra Professional team took the BTC stage for their sixth year in a row. And, as one of the only teams to be with us since the beginning, they made the stage their own and hit us with bomb color tips and celeb-worthy upstyles. Laken Rose, @hairandmakeupbysteph, Cassie Siskovic and David Lopez talked the importance of products, getting creative without always having to prelighten and perfecting your styling skills. #behindthechair #thebtcshow

Joico brought together haircoloring masters Vivienne Mackinder and Mark Minetti and social media stars @stylistricardosantiago, @philipring and @larisadoll for a presentation overflowing with color. So many models. So many formulas (which will all be up on behindthechair.com later this week!). So much education. First, Vivienne, Ricardo and Mark shared tips on how to complement different face shapes and use haircolor to contour. Ricardo shared his favorite rose gold formula (which he says is still his most-requested color in the salon) and Mark demoed an amazing peachy blonde. Then, Larisa and Phil shared a new color technique they’ve been working on for three months JUST for our show! #behindthechair #thebtcshow

Ammon Carver, Leah Freeman and Matt Swinney—2017 Stylist Choice Award winners for Favorite Education Team—served major take-home tips that will definitely make your life easier behind the chair. For example, Leah (fresh off her #ONESHOT win for Big Shot North American Creative Color Shot) recommends balayaging on wet hair for max speed and the best blur. And we loved when Ammon gave a shoutout to Matt (another #ONESHOT winner for Big Shot North American Avant Garde Shot) and Leah for always pushing him and each other to work hard at their craft. #behindthechair #btconeshot17 #thebtcshow #btcfam #btcready
