Trish Dool has worked as a hairstylist at Eric Fisher Salon for almost twenty years. As Artistic Director of the salon, she is the head of education for their new staff.
Along with Fisher, she leads an intensive training program that involves weekly haircutting class forall new stylists. This education is the backbone of EFS and has been for years. With a haircutting style that comes from in-depth training under Fisher as well as a strong Sassoons education, Dool is a perfect fit for the job. “Part of Trishʼs job is to determine when our new stylists are prepared to advance from their apprenticeship to working on the salon floor,” says Fisher. This system has enabled the Eric Fisher Salon to grow successfully and to maintain a standard that the salon is known for on an international level.
Dool also acts as manager and team leader of all of the salonʼs photographic projects. The salon usually puts out a collection as a team every season. “I really love the creative process of putting together a collection,” says Dool. “Eric and I will come up with a basic concept and then invite the rest of the team to storyboard and fine tune our ideas as a group.” Trish enjoys working on shoots for the salon as well as for her own portfolio. “It is a passion of mine,” she says. “I will always work behind the chair. My clients are my livelihood and I have built some great relationships with them over the years.” She goes on to say that working on a shoot is a great creative outlet and an escape from working in the salon day to day. “Itʼs something that I love to do and I always have something in the works.” Dool is currently training with Aquage to be part of their creative team. “I draw a lot of inspiration from the Aquage team. They are without a doubt some of the most talented artists in the industry,” says Dool. She says that being around such amazing hairdressers as Anne Bray has taught her a great deal about the art of dressing hair. “Haircutting is my first love,” says Dool. “Being around the Aquage team has enabled me to hone my skills as a hairdresser.”
Among Doolʼs personal goals, achieving NAHA is at the top of the list. With Fisher as her mentor and a NAHA winner himself, she appreciates his knowledge and photographic eye. Continuing her own education is always a goal of great importance to her as well. “Eric has taught me, among many other things, to be a ʻstudent for lifeʼ. We can never expect to grow if we close our minds to learning.” She has studied under many industry icons, including Tim Hartley, Vivienne McKinder, and Oscar Bond. “It is my goal to become a better hairdresser all the time, to challenge myself creatively, and to make my mark in this fantastic industry.”

Repost @marybehindthechair I wonder if this caterpillar has any idea what's about to happen to her. She truly has no idea how beautiful she will become....how beautiful she already is inside. Maybe nobody told her. Maybe she wouldn't have believed it if they had. She needs to feel she's worthy of beauty before she sees it for herself, before the world sees it in her. It is only then that she will find her wings. This weekend we will all change, maybe some just a little, maybe some will have a life changing experience and find their wings. Whatever happens, we are together in a loving, supportive space surrounded by others who are walking a similar path. Get ready.....COLOR, Cut & Style 2017 is almost here....and I am so excited to share this weekend with all of you. Mary xoxo @marybehindthechair #thebtcshow #behindthechair #thebteam #btcbelieves
You can see it in her eyes. She can see it in yours. The secret you've both been keeping is finally being told this weekend at COLOR, Cut & Style with the launch of Victory Barber & Brand. If Wallis could talk, she'd tell you how she always saw something different in you. She would tell you that you were destined for great things. (After all, you are HER father.) She'd tell you that it may be scary and intimidating and at times you may feel very vulnerable, even lonely. But she'll also tell you that you will feel truly alive for the first time in a long time. She will tell you that you will never forget that feeling so you will fight for it with everything you have. Wallis would tell you to be strong. To be a fighter. To believe in your dream without compromise. She'd tell you that today after you left home, the sky was so beautiful with seemingly impenetrable cloud cover, but massive rays of light kept finding their way through the clouds because the sun never gave up. It just kept fighting it's way through. Wallis would tell you that it's a reminder that we must push through obstacles in our path and if we do, the light will always find us. She'd tell you to prepare your mind for everything. Finally, she'd tell you that she's so incredibly proud of you and that she loves you.....@mattyconrad. Congratulations Matty on the launch of @victorybrandproducts #behindthechair #thebtcshow
